The Infrastructure Division also provides cold storage room facilities to users in LKIM Fisheries Complexes/ Ports in order to maintain the quality and freshness of the landed catch. In addition, cold storage room facilities will also solve issues of excessive seafood stocks. A total of 90 cold room units with a capacity of 1,548 MT have been provided in LKIM Fisheries Complexes/ Ports while at the LKIM Tanjung Manis Fisheries Port (PPLTM), 5 units of cold storage room space with an area of 6,030 MSq have been provided as shown in the diagram below.
